Vegetarian Sloppy Joe | From the Store* Shortcut Meal

*Note: store bought food was used in this recipe. Not homemade or from scratch, a shortcut meal.

1 1/2 Tsp Olive Oil
1 Package of Veggie Grounds (My Personal fav is Morning Star)
1/2 Cup Onion, minced
1/4 Cup Green Bell Pepper, minced
3 Tbsp Honey
1 Can of Manwich (Chunky)
2 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 Tbsp Ketchup or Braque Sauce
1 Bay Leaf
2 Tsp Onion Powder
2 Tsp Smoked Paprika
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Ground Ginger
Dashes of Hot Sauce (optional)
Heat oil in large skillet over MED/MED-HIGH heat.
Add onions and stir until they start to brown. Then add veggie grounds breaking apart into crumbles as they cooks, about 2-4 minutes. Stir in honey, onion powered, smoke paprika, and add bay leaf. This adds flavor and cuts down on the fake meat flavor.
Reduce heat to med/med-low and stir-in can of Manwich Sauce. Add yellow mustard, Ketchup, pepper, ginger, and dash of hot sauce. Simmer 9-12 minutes or until sauce thickens to your liking. Note: sauce will thick more once cooled.
Remove from heat and serve over toasted buns.
